Ventura County Races (May to June 2017)

Scenic courses and amazing post-race parties await at Ventura County. Here are some races you can join in the first half of the year:


  • 7th Annual Mom’s Day Run 5K and 10K – Celebrate motherhood by walking, running, or skipping along Ventura State Beach with your mother, or in honor of her. The event takes place May 14, 2017 at 8 a.m., to be followed by post-race festivities that include a photo booth and free finish line massages.
  • Clif Bar Mountains 2 Beach Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k – Run past gorgeous mountain and beachfront scenery at any of the event’s races, all of which take place on May 28, 2017. Starting points are at downtown Ojai, Foster Park, and the Ventura beachfront, depending on which race you join.


  • 25th Annual Love Run 5K/10K, Half Marathon, and 1 Mile Fun Run in Westlake Village – Organized by Senior Concerns, this fundraiser will benefit Thousand Oaks’ Meals on Wheels program, which serves seniors who are no longer able to prepare meals for themselves. The event takes place June 4, 2017 at Townsgate Road.
  • 4th Annual Father’s Day 5K and 10K – Planned for June 18, 2017, 8 a.m. at the Ventura Beach Promenade, the event features a walker-friendly course that’s accessible to participants of all abilities. Gas grills, beach gear, and various items will be given away at the race.
