Located in beautiful Thousand Oaks, California, the Las Flores Community Garden is the largest community garden in Ventura County with 165 leased plots including the children’s garden which opened in 2015. With the generous support of a grant from the Conejo Recreation and Park District we offer residents and non profit groups the opportunity to grow their own fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers.

The mission of Las Flores Community Garden is to provide space for citizens to garden together – to create a shared vision, to work collaboratively, and to cultivate a place for individuals, families and friends to learn about and to experience the rewards of organic gardening. We are deeply committed to community pride and unity, teaching organic methods, preservation of open spaces and native habitat for biodiversity.

The Las Flores Community Garden is based on organic principles. We provide garden education and workshops, donate garden produce to local food banks and promote community beautification. The garden is full of Master Gardeners and experienced veteran gardeners. We may not do it all the same way but we all do it organically and we invite you to grow with us. Our blog has great tips from our members.
